Metaplanet has acquired 5,268 BTC worth $615.7 million at an average price of $116,870 per coin, bringing their total holdings to 30,823 BTC acquired at a cost of $3.33 billion. They are now the fourth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally and the largest in Asia. The company has expanded its business with subsidiaries in the U.S. and Japan in line with their Bitcoin treasury strategy. CEO Simon Gerovich has set goals of reaching 100,000 BTC by 2026 and 210,000 BTC by 2027.
