Tether has decided to classify its USDT tokens on older blockchains such as Bitcoin Cash, Kusama, EOS, and Algorand as “unsupported” instead of freezing them as originally planned. This came after community pushback, with users still able to move tokens but Tether will no longer issue or redeem USDT on those platforms. The company also announced plans to issue a native USDT on Bitcoin using the RGB protocol.
