Reeve Collins, co-founder of Tether, is supporting a new yield-bearing stablecoin project called Pi Protocol. The stablecoin will be backed by real-world assets like US Treasuries and money-market funds. Pi Protocol aims to offer yield to users and capitalize on the growing stablecoin market. USPi holders will have voting power and receive a share of revenue. The CEO of Robinhood emphasized the importance of offering yield in stablecoins to compete with other dollar-holding methods.
