Institutional investors held 25.4% of Bitcoin ETF assets, totaling $26.8 billion by the end of 2024. The percentage of Bitcoin ETF assets held by institutions grew 113% in the fourth quarter. Interest in BlackRock’s IBIT also increased significantly. Mubadala Investment Company and State of Wisconsin Investment Board reported substantial Bitcoin exposure through IBIT.
