Core Scientific, once a bankrupt Bitcoin miner, has transformed into a U.S. artificial intelligence infrastructure provider. In the second quarter of 2026, they reported 1.1 gigawatts leased, totaling over $24 billion in potential revenue. Colocation revenue was $136.7 million, while self-mining revenue declined to $21.5 million. They also signed agreements with CoreWeave and AMD for infrastructure deployment. Despite the $24 billion potential, it is not guaranteed profit. The company has faced heavy spending and increased debt as they transitioned to AI infrastructure.
