Binance’s security team prevented a $1.2 million governance attack on an unnamed project’s treasury. The attacker tried to exploit a weakness in the project’s on-chain governance mechanism. Binance coordinated with other exchanges to close deposits for the affected token. The project ultimately rejected the proposal, and no funds were lost.
