Bitwise Asset Management has partnered with Superstate to develop a system that will allow investors to hold shares of certain Bitwise funds as blockchain-based tokens. The Solana staking ETF is expected to be the first fund considered for tokenization, although the launch is not guaranteed. Shareholders will have the option to choose between traditional book entry shares and tokenized shares while retaining the same rights. Superstate will provide the transfer agency infrastructure needed for maintaining blockchain-based ownership records. The tokenization project was announced after Bitwise confirmed a reduction in its workforce.
