The XRP Ledger is proposing a privacy amendment called Confidential Transfers for institutional transfers, aiming to encrypt balances and payment amounts while keeping account and token types visible. The XRPL hosts over $530 million in distributed tokenized assets outside RLUSD. Validators must approve the proposal for activation, along with other amendments focused on institutional asset issuance and settlement. The privacy feature targets institutions needing transaction confidentiality on a shared ledger. It could be relevant to U.S.-linked tokenized securities already on XRPL. The amendment requires 80% validator support for activation.
