Russia is extending its ban on cryptocurrency mining to include Moscow, the Moscow Region, and parts of the Kursk Region starting from August 15, 2026. This ban, outlined in Government Resolution No. 936, will remain in effect until December 31, 2032, due to concerns about grid strain and power capacity.
