BitRiver founder Igor Runets has been moved from house arrest to pretrial detention in Moscow for two months over an alleged fraud involving nearly ₽1 billion. Investigators claim that Runets did not fulfill a contract for mining equipment, leading to the criminal charge. BitRiver is also facing bankruptcy proceedings.
