Hedera’s native token HBAR fell over 2% after researchers reported an exploit moving $5.8 million from Hedera to Ethereum. The attacker used LayerZero to bridge funds and swap WBTC for ETH. The incident is ongoing, with no official statement or total losses reported yet. Other recent security issues in the crypto space have been identified.
