Manny Rutinel won the Democratic primary for Colorado’s 8th Congressional District and will face Republican incumbent Gabe Evans in November. A PAC funded by Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen supported Rutinel’s campaign, adding to the scrutiny of crypto political spending before the 2026 U.S. midterms. The race is seen as a test for both parties, with Rutinel running as a progressive candidate.
