The European Union’s MiCA transition period ends on July 1, 2026, meaning that crypto exchanges, brokers, and wallet providers without approval will no longer be able to serve EU customers. Many firms may lose eligibility, and users may need to withdraw assets or move funds to approved platforms quickly. Regulatory enforcement is being prepared, with France warning of penalties for unapproved providers. Only a small number of licensed providers remain. The transition may lead to a split in the EU crypto market based on national approval speed. Users are advised to check the ESMA Interim MiCA Register and take necessary actions before the deadline.
