BlackRock has asked the OCC to revise proposed GENIUS Act rules by removing a cap on tokenized stablecoin reserve assets. They argue that reserve rules should be based on liquidity, credit quality, and maturity risk, not on whether an asset is tokenized. BlackRock’s BUIDL fund is gaining use as institutional collateral in crypto trading platforms.
