South Korea’s internet-only lender KBank and Ripple have joined forces to test blockchain-based cross-border remittances. The partnership aims to improve transaction speed, cost efficiency, and transparency using Ripple’s global blockchain network. Testing has moved to a virtual environment, assessing on-chain transfers across various corridors. The collaboration could lead to live remittance services and other digital asset initiatives. Ripple is also working on securing the XRP Ledger against quantum computing risks with a four-phase roadmap.
