Manchester United has dropped to eighth place in the Deloitte Football Money League, their lowest position, while Liverpool is now the highest-earning English club. United’s decline is attributed to reduced broadcast and matchday revenue due to absence from European competitions. The club is looking to improve engagement with fans through stadium development. Manchester United ranks fourth among English clubs in the 2026 Money League, with Real Madrid leading the list with revenue over €1bn. Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are ahead of United. The upcoming broadcast deal may benefit Premier League teams in the 2027 Money League, but success on and off the field remains crucial for top clubs. Women’s football clubs are also seeing a rise in revenue, with Arsenal Women topping the list this year.
