Ripple Labs has obtained an expanded license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, allowing the company to offer a wider range of payment services. This approval will enable Ripple to better support institutions in the region. The license builds upon Ripple’s existing regulatory standing in Singapore, where it has been operating since 2017. Ripple’s payment system includes the use of its stablecoin RLUSD and XRP for cross-border transfers. Ripple has also partnered with Mastercard, WebBank, and Gemini to pilot the use of RLUSD for credit card settlement. The company plans to launch RLUSD in Japan in early 2026.
